PM Update- 09.09.2020 COVID-19 Hands- Face - Space

Good evening.

After the Prime Minister’s update today, we are satisfied that gyms are exempt from the new restrictions. Therefore we plan to carry on running our classes and gym sessions as normal, but there are some things to consider.

When arriving at the centre it is imperative you check in at the desk, whether for class or gym sessions. We must, by law, have your details on our system for track and trace.

If you are using our cafe, you will be asked for your contact details for their track and trace system as well.

Following Government guidelines, groups of no more than 6 will be able to gather in our cafe, or outside.

Please adhere to and maintain all social distancing measures within the centre; stay on the marked spots in classes, use the one way system, and keep 1m+ away from others.

Please remain vigilant with hand hygiene and cleaning of equipment at all times.

Please do not come to the centre if you feel unwell, or if you or anyone in your household is displaying symptoms of COVID.

All of these measures will mean we are (hopefully) able to stay open and members can continue to access the gym and classes.

Many thanks!

@Worle Team

Membership fee update- 3rd September 2020

To all our members, who have recently joined us and who have continued to suspend your memberships.

We have been made aware unexpected payments have been removed from some members accounts, we have been in discussions with Harland’s today, our direct debit management company.

Who have admitted fault in this issue, this is not how we expect a company working on our behalf to behave, or experience these sort of issues.

Harland’s are working hard to rectify any member who has had membership fees removed from their accounts, they will be refunding all members who have requested further suspension until December 2020. They will also be refunding new members who have already paid their pro rata membership fee, and this has been taken again.  Harland’s will contact every member individually to confirm the refund amount and the date it will be refunded into you bank account.

As a centre we pride ourselves to provide excellent customer service and processing suspensions/cancellations and queries at club level, We are a charity run gym and do not wish for any issues to occur within our membership base, pre COVID-19, things were so much simpler.

Please accept our greatest apologies and believe us in saying we are doing all within our power to rectify the above problems. We understand every member’s situation will be different and we will ensure a refund is received to you as soon as possible.

We will have all information from Harland’s at close of play today to confirm what members have had extra membership fees removed, this will be confirmed by the centre by lunch time tomorrow and a email will be received by Monday at the very latest to confirm the date your refund will be received in your account.

Again, please accept our apologies and be reassured as a team we will be doing all we can.

Members who have cancelled their memberships with the centre throughout lock down and when the centre reopened,  cancellations have been processed, the cancellations will follow the centres terms and conditions which is two calendar months’ notice for many of you this months payment will be your last. We hope to one day welcome you back to the centre. Please with any direct debit do not cancel your payments, we would not want you to incur any further administrations fees for doing so early.

If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to contact Sam at the centre on sam.naylor@worle.org.uk or 01934 886111

Thank you for your continued support and patience with this

Kind Regards

Many Thanks

@Worle Trust and Management

We have to wait a little bit longer

We miss you as much as you miss us.

We are disappointed the government's announcement didn’t provide the clarity on when indoor gyms can reopen, and we are confident that together with Get ukactive we can work towards a mid-July to end of July date to reopen our doors, government advice dependent of course

The centre has worked hard during this time to put in place appropriate measures to ensure a safe and healthy environment and experience for both our members and staff. Please keep an eye on our Facebook and website for further information.

On a positive note we will be adding even more small outdoor training sessions including extra bootcamps, Total Body conditioning, spin and P90X all bookable through our website.

Dont forget to cancel your space if you can't make it to allow someone else the opportunity.

We will look at opening the 3G/Tennis Courts/Netball courts as soon as we can to enable groups of 6 friends, Families from two house hold bubbles or teams to use the facilities.

Our Proud to serve Costa will also be available for take aways soon

For more information around COVID-19 and the centre please read the information on the website

We look forward to welcoming you back when we can

Following the government directive to close all gyms to help stop the transmission of COVID-19, @Worle Learning and Community Sports will be closed until further notice.

What will happened to your membership?

Please be reassured that you won’t pay for your membership while we are closed. Your membership has been frozen and you do not have to do anything.

Your payment will be stopped immediately, there may be a delay for some members whilst your bank stops your Direct Debit collection.

The value of the remainder of your payment for March will be deducted from the first payment taken once our closure ends.

Thank you for your support and patience during this difficult time.

Keep safe and well – Thank you for all of your kind words regarding the centre,  we can’t wait to welcome you back once it’s safe to re-open,

Candace and Team

COVID-19 Member Update

After Monday’s announcement from the PM regarding social distancing and the advice to limit the number of social gatherings, we will be completing the following at the centre:

  •    Until further notice it is business as normal, we have increased our level of cleaning and we are fully stocked with sanitizer and alcohol hand gel

  • All gym kit, including weights, pins, CV kit handrails seats and footplates are being cleaned regularly though out the day (3 times) and there is an expectation that members along with usual gym etiquette wipe down the kit after each use.

  • Door handles throughout the centre are being wiped every hour along with our toilet and changing room checks which involve sanitizing and cleaning around sinks, taps and toilets.

All of our instructors are so far fit, healthy and well and are happy to continuing teaching however with social distancing we have decided that class numbers will be halved or classes that are smaller in numbers will have a maximum capacity of 15.  Any class booking that was booked 8 days in advance and is over the below number will go-ahead for this week but next week class numbers will be as follows.

  • Any class that doesn’t use equipment will run as normal for the hour session

  •  If you have your own Matts, boxing gloves, toning sticks or kettlebells as we know many of our members do then we are happy for you to use in the centre, if cleanliness is something you are worried about, however, staff are deep cleaning equipment during quiet periods.

Please follow the normal class cancellation policy, so we can manage class numbers and still continue to plan great classes.

We are a non-profit charity organisation and we will continue to open the centre and run as a business as normal. The message to our members, staff and instructors is, if you are fit healthy and normally well it is business as normal, we have followed as we do normally a cleaning checklist but have increased the cleaning in areas we see fit. We have plenty of soap and running hot water, sanitizing products and alcohol gels within the centre. Gym etiquette is expected from all members to be clean and hygienic at all time. Be safe, not sorry.

But If you have a new continuous cough or high temperature or feel unwell in any way, please stay home and take care of yourself and families.  Inform the centre as soon as you can and we will try to gain cover for instructors at the centre but a limited class timetable may be running, if cases increase.

We understand a lot of our elderly members may fit into the high-risk category or our members may also fit into a high-risk category, our members may also be carers, be pregnant or have wives or girlfriends that are and your safety is our priority.  All we ask is that you contact the centre via email or phone call to place your membership on hold until the COVID-19 has passed, there is no need to cancel, we will be here to support members health and mental wellbeing until further notice until a direct notice is issued from the PM.

Our new motto, stay safe, fit, healthy and sanitized and if you want to come to the centre be assured we will be here with open arms and an air high five.

Keep an eye on our website and FB page for further updates, if the worst happens an email will go to all members and hirers of our facilities to let you know what the next steps will be

Kind Regards

Candace
