Step Aerobics

Aerobic exercise is an important part of a well-rounded exercise routine. Many different forms of exercise can give you an effective cardiovascular workout, and step aerobics is one of them. Step aerobics was introduced in the 1980s as part of the aerobics craze

Features

A step aerobics session typically consists of sets of choreographed movements performed on a raised platform. The movements are usually accompanied by music and are designed to work the lower body, upper body and cardiovascular system.

 

Fitness Benefits

Exercising with an aerobic step provides several fitness benefits that can help you in other sports and in daily life. Regular sessions will provide both cardiovascular and muscular endurance. Incorporating both upper and lower body movements together will improve your coordination and agility, and the constant push up onto the step will increase leg strength.

Comic Relief Charity Spin-a-Thon

Join us on Saturday 25th March  from 8.30 am to 10.30 am to complete a 2 hour Spin-a-Thon to raise money for this years Comic Relief.

Our aim is to cycle from Weston s Mare to Paris and back which is a total distance of 1422KM's. We managed Weston s Mare to Scotland for Children in Need back in November so i know we can cycle to Paris 

The session will be fun and taught by a mix of all of our Spin Instructors, book now at reception with a £5.00 deposit to confirm your place.

Boxercise

 

Boxercise is an exercise class based on the training concepts boxers use to keep fit.

 

 Classes can take a variety of formats but a typical one may involve shadow-boxing, skipping, hitting pads, kicking punchbags, press-ups, shuttle-runs and sit-ups.

 

Most boxercise classes are aimed at men and women of all ages and fitness standards. As no class involves the physical hitting of an opponent, it is a fun, challenging and safe workout
